More than delighted that Hardeep Singh Kohli will be our Master of Ceremonies on 26 January.
Lots of exciting things have been happening over the past few days. Let me tell you about just some of them! We have been overwhelmed with generosity: fantastic Scottish writer Ian Rankin (of Rebus fame) has donated two signed copies of his books for our auction
and the lovely Julia Donaldson has donated two sets of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child – one a special edition and both signed, to the auction as well. Great bedtime reading for those of you who have tiny peeps!
Maybe not so entertaining, but a piece of Scottish history: the First Minister of Scotland, Mr Alex Salmond has signed a copy of the White Paper on Devolution which we will also auction on the night.
I have just confirmed a marvellous choreographer, Jaimal Mistry, who will be running the fashion show for the event and it will be fabulous! Thanks so much to him and to our stylist Priya Walia Creative – they are both donating their time to the event and travelling up from the Midlands to help us out.
Watch this space for more announcements over the coming days.
I’d like to mention again that we have a bone marrow donor registration event during the day at the Glasgow Gurdwara, which is one of a triumvirate of events happening that weekend in Glasgow, Coventry and London. Please do try to come along to the Gurdwara and find out about becoming a donor – it only takes minutes to register, swab and save a life!
Please book your tickets for the event here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/glasgows-first-tartan-turbans-burns-supper-tickets-9746003559
We look forward to seeing you in Glasgow on 26 January at 6.30 pm!
