“A little bit of politics”

ParliamentEveningHR20050313[1] The Scottish Parliament at night

We are delighted to have the support of a number of Scottish politicians for our fundraising event on 26 January!

MSPs Jackie Baillie, Hanzala Malik and Graeme Pearson have very kindly donated prizes to our auction: lunch for two , plus two tickets to First Ministers Questions and a tour of the Parliament building at Holyrood – very interesting for those of us who have often passed by but never been inside!

Holyrood’s Debating Chamber

Not only that, but Anas Sanwar, MP for Glasgow Central, has given us lunch for two at Westminster, plus a tour of the House of Commons, which I’m very tempted to bid on personally!

We are also delighted to announce that Dr Amanjit Jhund, Scottish Sikh Parliamentary candidate for East Dunbartonshire in the 2015 election will be at the Burns Supper and will deliver the toast to the haggis!

Glasgow born Dr Jhund studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, received his post-graduate degree from Harvard and is an award winning entrepreneur.

We’re so looking forward to his toast!

And let’s not forget that Scotland’s First Minister has signed a copy of the White Paper on Devolution for the auction as well.

It should be a very interesting evening…………..
